Welcome to Texas! This is local family dining.. FUN local family place waaaaaaaay off the beaten path. Chicken fried steak, burgers, pork chops, IBC root beer at the soda fountain. That’s just a sample. Traditional Texas/Western decor. Reasonable prices, good quality, adult-sized portions and a solid variety of Texas COMFORT FOOD. I’ve seen veggies and a salad bar there and they look nice but that’s not why I go to Feed Barn. If you are tired of high prices, small portions, employees who forgot how to smile, chain restaurants, long lines, etc. and just want regular Texas style FOOD, this is your place. Go just past the end of the civilized urban world, continue north about a half a mile and look on your right. If you can’t find it, unplug your GPS, pull over and ask the guys with the pick up trucks, blue collar shirts, jeans and big smiles. They probably just left Feed Barn. Welcome back to dining Texas style!

Amazing! I have eaten here for years! Try a gem and a local hide-away….total Texan feel in the heart of industrial Bryan! Friday night special is amazing. Definitely worth it….has a special place in my heart after all these years.

Delicous and Cheap. I took my girlfriend out to dinner here last night because we had a coupon for 2 burger baskets for $8. The burgers were delicious!!! Nice soft bun, meat was juicy, veggies were plentiful and sliced nice and thin. A great burger for a great price! The fries were nice fat wedges and were very crispy with pillowy soft inside insides. Some of the best I have ever had! Tried the homemade banana pudding for dessert, it was excellent with plenty of nilla wafers tucked inside. Also, they have IBC root beer on tap which was an awesome little surprise.

Always a great place for county cooking. Chicken fried steak is great. Desserts are good. Staff is friendly. Been coming here sice my teens in the 90’s.

You can’t beat the prices. The steaks are pretty consistently thick & juicy. The fries are thick & crispy on the outside. The salad bar usually has a variety of vegetables(tomatoes were missing last week — at the height of local abundant tomato harvest season). Chicken fried steak is not anything exceptional, but it isn’t worse than most other local places serve. For steaks, fries (or baked potato) and Texas toast, the prices are very reasonable. Sometimes the chemical smell from around its industrial park location is annoying–but men don’t seem to notice it.

Super fries!. A hidden gem. Literally hidden, it’s in an industrial district on Fountain Ave in Bryan. Not where you’d expect to find a restaurant. Not easy to find if you aren’t familiar with the streets in that area. Check your map or GPS before you leave. I walked right up to the counter, placed my order and got my ticket. In about 8 minutes they called out my number. Fast and friendly.I had the Chicken Fried Steak with fries. The CFS was pretty good, the Texas toast was excellent, fresh and soft inside and crunchy buttery outside, but the fries were pretty close to the best I’ve had. Thick and substantial, no shoestring fries here. They were obviously made to order from fresh cut Idaho potatoes. I’ll definitely be back again.
