I went with my fianc for the first time and we both loved it. Great atmosphere and the food was perfect. The bread sticks were some of the best I have had and the Frittellas were great. I do not live here but she does and we make it a point to go every time I come into town
Surprisingly Disappointed. I expected a lot from this little local restaurant. But, I was disappointed that they used canned (not even cooked) mushrooms on our pizza. Then, the cheesecake was just a really extra small slice and tasted like one of the kind out of the box. Definitely not an authentic Italian cheesecake by any means. The place was really busy and seems to have positive reviews for the most part. I can’t say that I’d be willing to give it another try though. I just left feeling like even a frozen pizza would have been better.
Absolutely love this place! The Egg Plant Parmigiania is my fav! I love how they transformed the building into a beautiful cottage! I always feel like I have escaped into another world when I eat there…like I am somewhere in Italy! Thank you Fritella!
How is this appealing?. Came here one evening for dinner with a friend — horrensously disappointed. I ordered the Eggplant parmigiana, and my friend ordered the Chicken Piccata. My eggplant dish was $8 and was a very small dish with no sides — and the majority of the dish was in the half-inch of cheese on top of the eggplant layers. I have nothing against cheese, but I would like to taste my eggplant beneath the fat. My friend’s chicken was dry and the sauce was watery. Maybe their pizzas and signature fritellas are better (seems like the people who like it prefer their Italian food doughy and cheesy) but my experience grossed me out.
Great Italian food. My Dad makes awesome homemade Italian food (bread, pasta, red sauce, meat balls and sausage) so I have higher expectations then most when it comes to Italian food. Frittella does a good job with the food that I have had. The lasagna reminds me of my grandma’s and the bread is off the hook. The sausage was a kind of pan sausage that I have never had, but it was still very good and had lots of taste to it. If you want good food Italian food at a good price, then this is the place. It puts Caffe Capri to shame in my book. I also enjoy the atmosphere.
OUTSTANDING. This place ROCKS. I cannot come to town without stopping here! The owners are GREAT.Staff is normally very good and informal (which I love)But the FOOD, THE FOOD, so fresh, and nearly flawlessly executed.Lasagna Sicillianna (sp?) – its their normal lasagna(best Ive ever had) with a slice of fried eggplant in the middle – WOW.I usually get at least 6 orders of cannelloni, cold, to go. Take them back home and bake up when I get a craving.I have to fight my wife for ’em, shes sneaky but I’m bigger ;)Absolutely the best meatballs around, and the fritella (they named the place after the dish) is a MUST – better than any calzone I have ever had.
Absolutely Amazing, Authentic Italian. Wow, when I read that this place was good I didn’t realize that it would be THIS good. The breadsticks and marinara were absolutely delicious, the Baked Ziti with Meat Sauce was to die for; lots of baked mozzarella on top, yum! I will definitely be coming back here anytime I crave Italian. The smell of garlic and fresh breadsticks hits you the minute you walk in the door. This is some of the best Italian I’ve ever had.
