Best Soul Food in Town:) A Staple in the Bryan/CS Community. A Must Try if you are ever in the area!This place is great if you’re looking for good soul food in the area. It has a Wonderful, Friendly atmosphere, andalso serves Breakfast. They have a great selection of items to choose from, and honesty that may be the toughest part just trying to decide what to have! I’d recommend trying Fish and Greens. The Chicken is awesome too!
Just walk right in…. Don’t hesitate to eat here because of the look or location!! My dad took me here when I was a kid, and I loved it. Find someone that moved to town for college years ago and take them here for lunch. It’s hilarious seeing their nervousness when you pull up and walk in, compared to how cool they’ll feel when they leave. That’s because Shannon’s family will make em’ feel right at home and the food will take care of everything else. When you want something different from every other restaurant and you’re squinting while you’re trying think of where you want to go, but the only places you can think of are the same 5 places you always go……….. Then get in your car and drive to Shannon’s

Their Tea cakes are wonderful, as is their peach cobbler. Wonderful food!! Hats off to Larry and the gang! Please don’t change a thing. Not even the size of the building, it seems more like MOMMA’s kitchen.
Old Bryan location. Many customers order ahead for lunch pick up. The place is not very large and only a local might actually be able to find it without effort. The food is basic home cooking, soul food, if you like. It is pretty good.
Home Cooking Southern Style. Soul searching? You got it. Shannon’s is an experience in southern home cooking culture. You have to experience it to understand. If you like southern home cooking, there isn’t anything quite like this in town. Give it a shot. It’s a little off the beaten path, but then again, what isn’t?
