I have there twice and the hamburgers were excellent as were the onion rings and thus far, the best burgers I have had in the Tyler area.
Not sure where you guys were at?. After reading some of the old reviews I was hesitant to try Half Moon, but friends of mine were playing in a band there so I went any way. I’ve got to tell you, I had a totally different experience than past posters. Obviously the band was good (a little biased), but I had Cajun Surf and Turf and the wife ate something called a Big Nasty burger (hilarious name) and everything was fantastic. We stayed all night and the staff was friendly and attentive. Took a pizza with us at the end of the night and it was great as well. It is a smoking establishment, so I get that, although it was not smokey at all when we were there. The waittress told me they had recently installed 2 industrial smoke eaters, so I guess it worked because when I got up the next day, with a bit of a hangover, my clothes and hair didn’t smell of smoke. Any way, I would recommend giving the place a try. Lot’s of fun and really nice food. TT

Good drinks but not a place to eat should be labeled a dive bar
This is not a restaurant. It is a bar with a grill. If you like smoky poolhalls, you’ll love this place.
