  • The one thing I don't get in India is delicious food from our neighbors. And that wish of mine is fulfilled everytime I visit this joint in Carrollton…

  • Solid. I think they should change the lighting though. It is a bit harsh. Food is great though. Service was fine and we will be returning for sure!…

  • Probably one of the most popular stops for Asian food per visitors. Ordered the haleem which didn't have any flavor and the texture felt disoriented. …

Its worth visiting with family and friends. Good taste at a reasonable price. Sindhi Biryani was a disappointment though. Kababs and curries with tandoori is worth a try.

Lately, I have been trying out many restaurants in Dallas area but never really got a chance to jot down the reviews. But the memories are still fresh in my mind and I will try to post couple of restaurant reviews.Al Markaz : day I landed in Plano, I googled for Places that serve the best biryani in town, and the top most hit that I received was Al Markaz. So I decided to pay a visit to this highly rated restaurant. It was on the eve of Eid so obviously we had to jostle for space as hordes of crowd waited for their turn to taste the delectable delicacies. Finally we found a table and ordered a chicken item with gravy, Biryani and Tandoori Chicken. The chicken curry was a piece of heaven, cant think of any better word to describe the taste and aroma. I could not pin-point the spices used, because it was so unique and something that I have never tasted before. Biryani was bit above average. Only problem with this place is the huge waiting time to get a table and afterwards to get the food. It kills the mood actually. Otherwise, this is definitely a must visit in DFW area.

Al Markaz is a wonderful paki/Indian spot. Pretty cheap as well. Get the lunch combo! The Naan was probably the freshest I have ever had as well as the vegetable samosa. They literally had just come out of the oven. When we got the bill we checked it over because it looked too cheap. I fed myself and my brother who is a personal trainer for 20.

Al Markas is the best choice for a Pakistani restaurant in and around Irving & neighboring counties & cities. This was my second visit to a Pakistani restaurant & my experience was pleasant one. My first experience was at Shalimar in Austin which was total disaster filled with disgust & bit scary too. I was told they have maintained the same consistency in taste from the past 10 years. They run a supermarket in the same building that offers halal meat. They even have a Paan dabha at the entrance door. Staff is very friendly. I tried one of the best naans outside India at Al Markaz. I ordered for daal curry & raitha while my friend he ordered for chicken curry. The quantity & quality, everything was good except the ambience, its bit crowdy. Typical desi dhaba styled food run by Pakistanis. On the whole I give Al Markaz a 3.5

Let’s start with the bad. Horrible place. You might find it difficult to find a dirtier place in America. The serving is haphazard. When you go on a weekend, you have to strategize to grab a table. And that table might still carry remnants of the earlier foodie’s adventures. But and this is a big but. This place screams food. Pakistani food in its unashamed, unadultered, sexiest best. The mutton korma is for the gods. The bheja fry makes you cry – by the sheer audacity of its taste. The biryani is average, rather poor. But that korma. And that bheja fry. Made for the gods. Served to humans.

Been to this restaurant for the first time yesterday. We had bheja fry, chicken boti and naan. The food tasted great. Will definitely be going back.

Poor excuse for a restaurant. Absolutely horrible. Rude staff and food stinks!!
