If you are an Singapore ex-pat living the in DFW area, a visitor, or just longing for another visit to S’pore, you know you’re missing Bread Talk. This is the closest thing to Bread Talk I’ve come across after my visit. Stumbled upon it in 99 Ranch Market after visiting Daiso next door. My jaw dropped – my dreams have come true. Cases of freshly baked savory and sweet buns. They only had pork floss, but there were several flavor options, including spicy. Lots of cheese options also. Sweet buns were abundant – a favorite of mine is the milk. Egg Yolk cake is a nice twist on the super dense moon cake. Good amount of Pandan. Plenty of other treats like milk tea, coffee, sandwiches, and super lovely cakes. Same format – grab a tray and tongs, pick what you want, and take it to the counter. They bag and tag them, ring up your price, and then you leave to happily chow down. They run a lot of specials too. A definite must-check every shopping trip or visit to DFW. BF Bakery is a small national chain.
