Love this place.. My family and I have eaten at the Catfish House many times,I have never been disappointed and always leave full and wanting to come back, they have some of the best and freshest raw oysters in town and their prices are good. See you soon! 🙂
Noise. We have been going weekly since they opened. Yesterday July 13, the radio was set so loud that the sound was ear-splitting. The people near us talked so loud to be heard above the noise, it turned out to be a most unpleasant experience. Even though we like the place, we will go elsewhere if they continue to drown out conversations and drive us out of the place with that blaring radio.
The food is always hot, fresh and good. The prices are very reasonable.
Good pieces of clean, fresh catfish & great sides at a reasonable price.
A fav for me bc of not only the food, location, but BYOB. I dont know about you, but I really take advantage of the yummy appetizers: chicken wings, raw oysters by th dozen, fried basket with cheap cold beer from my own cooler. Recession special in my mind. Also worth mentioning, the batter on fried items is light and not greasy. The grilled catfish is very good too.
Good food, clean and friendly. Great fried oysters! Family owned and very friendly.
For our meal we ordered catfish filets, seafood gumbo, red beans and rice and fries. The catfish was fried in a nice cornmeal batter and were a nice large size and tasted great. The red beans and rice were a little non traditional with more of a spicy Mexican taste but I really liked them. I wish I had ordered a bowl instead of a cup. The seafood gumbo was very good too. The fries and stuffed jalapinos were of the frozen variety and nothing special. We enjoyed our meal and will be coming back soon.
