Good Burger – Sweet Taste in the Bun. I have been to LA Burger twice now. They serve very good burgers with above average meat flavors. It’s always pink and juicy in the middle. The bun is an interesting twist. If you have ever had King Hawaiian Rolls, you know they have a sweet flavor. Their hamburger buns are slightly sweet, but not over powering. I thought it added to the flavor. The juice from the burger and sauteed mushroom was pulled into the bun, but did not fall apart. The natural cut fries were crispy and lightly seasoned. I enjoyed both my burger and fries. The atmosphere changed from a year ago. The decor is still simple with a flat blue/gray everywhere. What’s missing is the loud techno rock. I was able to watch TV and read a few chapters in my book
Very California. …and for all the wrong reasons. Dubstep (which I hate) being played too loud, overpriced and over-embellished food that ends up terrible as a result.Everything was just plain bad. Meat was oh-so-bland (true waste of Angus) and Five Guys can cook a well done burger juicier than their medium. Kimchi added no excitement, other toppings were mediocre–mealy tomato and avocado that was too soft. Then the buns–wait, who in doge’s name EVER thought it was a good idea to have yeast roll buns? Sickeningly sweet is not what I want with a burger. More California influence there, assuredly. Fries ranked among the worst I have had–the oil used to cook them had that not-changed-often-enough aftertaste to it. Did I mention overpriced? Way overpriced. I am honestly not that biased against small or local chains, but each and every single one I have had here so far after the move has been detestable. Will be on truly small business for at least a month (or until I am forced).
Awesome. Bulgogi salad was a delightful surprise!!!
Best burger in town!!! Friendliest service! We live in Waco and will make sure we eat here whenever we are in town!
Limited menu and BYOB but the food was good. The TVs were showing a computer slideshow or something even though the Mavs were on. Add sports and it would be a great!
Not great, again. I work near LA Burger and would love to have a great place to go for lunch once a week. Unfortunately, this is not it. The food is ok, but VERY inconsistent. What may be good one day will be soggy and flavorless the next time. I also have a very difficult time getting a correct order. I always ask for no sauce, and yet, every burger still has sauce on it. The philly I tried was almost uneatable. I haven’t tried the Korean fusion menu options yet, the lack of ability to master the basics has me worried about a new food experience. For over $10 for a burger, fries (regular, small), and a drink, I expect much, much more.
This place is great, friendly service and the combination of Korean food and American food is a genius idea. My two favorites so far would be their signature burger the LA Burger and K-town fries, both are delicious.
