I was in town visiting and it was recommended by a friend to go to Los Lupes on Trinity Mills. It looks like a dive inside and out, but the food I had was really good. I ordered the molcajete and it did not disappoint. The service wasn’t terrible, but it also wasn’t great. I am a stickler about my beverage running dry, and it ran dry for a few minutes.Overall, it was a good experience and I will stop by again the next time I am in town.
Great Food. When ya live in Dallas ya try out all kinds of restaurants, Mexican being on the menu.Have been to Los Lupes in Carrollton at least 6 times and is always good.Staff is attentive….. ya don’t want em hovering over you anyhow, do you?Portions are excellent and prices are very reasonable.Those who don’t like it must be used to Taco Bell.
It’s been a while since I ate at Los Lupes. Last time I went, I had the buffet and it was a pleasant dining experience. Fast forward a few years to today, and not so much. The buffet was unavailable, so I ordered the custom platter. The four items I had were the guacamole tostada, two cheese enchiladas, and a tamale. The guacamole is excellent, and the cheese enchiladas are packed with onions, resulting in a flavor explosion. The tamale, however, was bland and too heavy on the masa. I’ve actually had poi that had more flavor.The service, or lack thereof, was the big problem. I ordered the flaming queso fundido. After it was made table side, I had to ask for tortillas, then I had to ask for plates. Although very nice ladies, it is a totally apathetic and clueless wait staff. Not coming back.

Best AUTHENTIC mexican food. I dine here often to taste the authentic mexican foods in town. They are actually making tortillas in house with in house made salsa. So far the best salsa ever!!! I order chicken enchillada and dinner fajitas. Friendly service with better To-Go staffs. Must recommend visiting with an empty stomach because it will fill you up! TIME TO EAT!

Seriously?. Los Lupes seems to have a high turnover rate with staff, I gave up on this place and have not returned. The staff is not attentive at all.I have seen this time and time again with Los Lupes, even to tables next to me.The last time I went the server let the food sit for about 10 minutes and then forgot that we were still there…waiting, and then gave us the check BEFORE the food even came to the table, half way after that she never came back. It was not even busy.Crazy.Either way the food is not really good, and the price for the food and service is not really worth it to me.It is a pretty pathetic place.
