Enjoyable Cajun Food – Mom’s Kitchen. Po Boys is a tiny store front for mostly take out. They do have a picnic bench and one bistro table, but your food will come in a take-out bag with plastic silverware. The little room is painted bright yellow & purple in true NOLA fashion. Through the order window, you can see a lone cook doing it all. She must be up early to get all those options ready.I tried the Cajun Sampler. I couldn’t finish it, but I tasted everything. The Gumbo & Jambalaya were spicy and wonderful. Each bite was heavy with sausage, chicken and/or ham chunks. The rice was properly cooked. Each cup had fresh cut green onions laid on top. The Red Beans & Rice was okay. I did not like the meat pie. I’m pretty sure it’s me. I am not a fan of deep fried anything, so my judgment on this pie is tainted.
