Savannah Cafe is a cross between a tea room and a bakery. They have a full complement of cakes, cookies and other pastries. Additionally, they have soups, salads and sandwich offerings. The customer base is heavily weighted towards women of all ages. The decor is simple with plain walls painted taupe/yellow. A mirror chair rail runs around the room to break up the solid wall. Tables are white with black chairs.The bakery offerings are very good. I frequently drop in to pick up cookies, but I have tried several of their bakery items. My absolute favorite cookie is the chocolate, peanut butter, oatmeal cookie. I love the chewiness, but they do not offer it for sale on a regular basis. Becon Hill is my next favorite. The lunch options are average in taste. Come here for the atmosphere to have a nice conversation with friends over lunch. Its not a destination spot for great food.
