  We decided to stop at one of the many Subway’s in the area for dinner, this one located in a strip mall on Trinity Mills. In general we both really like Subway…Om: I view Subway much like Pizza Hut – I shouldn’t like it as much as I do because it’s a popular chain that serves up food quickly and efficiently. Dang it though, I like their sandwiches! They have a good variety and one of the best values for a sandwich shop. They make your sub right in front of you, and everything that they use is fresh. Subway doesn’t try to get too fancy with their sandwiches either, and I think that’s a good thing! I had the chicken bacon ranch sub, and it might be one of their tastiest ones they offer. As far as food goes it was consistent with other locations, but there were a few issues – it was VERY warm inside, maybe the A/C wasn’t working? There was a dirty table despite not being very busy when we walked in, and the service was SLOW, which caused a line to build behind us. Might try another location that is just as close next time.Nom: Subway may never blow my socks off but I will give them this, usually if you visit a Subway you will get a very good sandwich at a good value. And as a bonus I really like their sandwiches too! I really like that the sandwich doesnt appear from behind a wall where I cant see how it was made. I get to pick my bread, and they make it right in front of mewant more lettucejust let them know and right in front of you they will add more lettuce! I had a salad and it was a good call! Same with the saladthey made it right in front of me! One down side to our visit last evening, the place was hot inside and maybe a bit smoky like someone burned something? And even tho there were three people behind the counter somehow only two were actually working and the place got backed up pretty quickly. That experience doesnt make me want to jump in my car and race back anytime soon, but there are plenty of other locations that Im sure will provide better service so that would not prevent us from visiting Subway again soon!

  This was the…. Second stop of the day that involved subs – the first being The Great Outdoors, located about two minutes away. I have always loved the smells of Subway and this one did not disappoint. There really was nothing new here. The service was good, the price might be the most reasonable of any sub sandwhich joint, solid location, and the sub that I tried (Italian BMT, see picture) was tasty. While it would not be the first sandwhich joint I would go to again in the area, it’s also one that I would not hesitate to go to again if someone wanted to go. If you’ve been to Subway before you know what you are getting.
