I met a few friends here for a burger one night and wasn’t blown away. Don’t get me wrong, it was a good burger, but since Twisted Root’s downtown location was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, I was expecting the best burger of my life. My expectations were through the roof, and while the burger was still a very good burger, it was not the best burger. Good environment, good food, and good prices.
I had the freshman 15 burger and it was very good! They also have a pickle bar very unique. They also have exotic burgers. That’ll be my next treat I’m thinking…. kangaroo!
This is my first time here and I wasn’t all that impressed. The burger didn’t really have too much of its own flavor. I ordered a a Kevin Bacon burger. The bacon was ok, it too was kinda bland. The meat was a bit greasy, not over bearing. Just enough to know it was there. The place itself is awesome. Great feel to it. The people working here are awesome. Maybe I’ll try it again and hopefully the cook was having a bad day.
So so good! We ate at this location one night and the Arlington location the next night before heading back home. The house made root beer (especially the Butter Rum) was to die for. The Watermelon Sweet Tea was awesome too. The Burgers were delicious and the fries were amazing. The service was great too.
Ehhhh. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t really anything special. I just expected a little more for $32 burger, hotdog, & kids meal. I had the spicy goat, which had good goat cheese, but no char at all on burger & a limp small piece of lettuce & onion.
