This is my go-to place in Cedar Hill especially for happy hour! It’s nice because it’s in the Hillside Village shopping center, so you can shop and eat with family and friends. The drinks are delicious — my favorite is the Peach Mambo. If you want a drink that you can share with a group of your closest friends, the Gator Punch is a great option, but it’s a little strong! I usually order the Rat Toes (batter-covered jalapeos stuffed with a shrimp/crab stuffing) — you can order them virgin without the jalapeos, too. I ordered the Red Fish on my last visit after the super personable server suggested it and it was surprisingly very good (photo below)! If you want dessert, the bread pudding is to die for! This is a great place for family gatherings, graduations, and birthday parties as well. During happy hour after work, weekends, holidays, and game days, it can get pretty packed and there are wait times, but it’s worth it! It’s a really fun dining atmosphere. thefashiongeekblog.com

Even though we didn’t get to eat the police was called and forced to leave without our food. Video will be down loaded soon…… wowthey will call the police if you dispute anything. Empty tables and long wait. Just waited 1 hour only to leave with never being seated! As I watched the 4 seating hostesses talk for an hour I witnessed 1 booth vacant for 15 minutes and another for 10 minutes, 2 more were just cleaned and then counted 3 additional booths in the main dining room that were also empty and clean! I understand the large parties needed the (8 empty) tables in the dining room….but seat the parties of 1-4 in the booths and move the process along.
Delicious food!!!! My only…. Delicious food!!!! My only complaint is, they need handicap ramps by the door.
Love this place, the food is really great and you can get half portions of most of the menu items. If you are not that hungry. I ALWAYS GET THE SALAD WITH EXTRA FRIED ONIONS!
Fried everything. Too much fried stuff! Offer more grilled & low carb choices & I might be back.
