• Great Beer Now!

  Visiting Katys La Centerra is a weekly ritual now that I live in my new residence, closer to this shopping and dining mecca. I have found many new places to visit and one of them is Another Round Wine Bar, a place for wines and other beverages.Another Round Wine Bar is one of those places I have always been aware of, but took longer than expected to visit. A good part of the reason is the hours of operation- they are not open until later in the day and its common for the establishment to be closed when me and the family are in La Centerra. But I knew I would get here eventually and a recent date night with the wife provided the opportunity I was looking for.Im not big into wine but I figured they likely served more than just wine and I was correct. I think I counted 16 different beer options on the menu plus coffee, soft drinks, and tea. There is no liquor so your adult beverages are limited to beer and wine. The selection of wine isnt as large as the selection at many other wine bars but it is sufficient to find something you like. If you want to try several different wines, they offer flights of four glasses, perfect for the connoisseur who wants to sample and rate. There is even wine on tap, if you feel like something different.I went for beer when I visited and while I would prefer a larger selection, I realize this is a wine bar and I cant expect anything amazing in terms of beers. I noticed that they have a food menu, too, and it actually has more selections than I expected. Other wine bars often have a few cheese trays, a handful of desserts, and other snacks but the menu here has about 20 selections including several flatbreads, desserts, and even items like ravioli and crab cakes. I found the food actually pretty good and the Monkey Cake, which we ordered for dessert, matched up well with my Belgian beer. The atmosphere at Another Round Wine Bar features low lighting for a more intimate feel. Its actually a little darker than I prefer and I had trouble reading the menu as a result. The wait staff did help me out- they brought me another version of the menu that was easier to read. This was nice, because I didnt want to sit there with my cell phone light turned on, trying to comprehend what was on the menu.Another Round Wine Bar can get crowded and noisy on a weekend evening. The prices are fair if you avoid the high- end wines, which are outrageously priced. The place has its issues, but overall, I like this wine bar and recommend a visit. I wish the hours were longer and I would like more beer options, but it is still a great place for a date night or meetup with adult friends. greatbeernow.com

  Let’s have Another Round!. Several of my girlfriends and I had such an amazing night at Another Round in Katy! The wine we had was amazing and we loved that it came with our choice of cheese and crackers. IT was so clean and the staff was very helpful and kind. I look forward to going back out for another girls night or even a nice evening with my husband! Great job, great wine, great cheese, and great service ANOTHER ROUND! See you soon!

  Bottle wine service is great. The keg wine is painfully bad.

  Good place. I enjoyed my time with my wife in this place the other day. It gives to Katy some kind of old small city, even considering that you are inside a strip mall. We had a wine with a cheese table outside, perfectly weather in the beginning of summer.
