Your Typical Italian Dishes. At Carino’s you can get any of your favorite classic Italian dishes, but for a price. I do think their food is very good, don’t get me wrong, but I still don’t believe it’s worth it’s pricetag on some dishes. I paid $14 for a single dish that tasted as if it was heated up in a microwaved and then lightly seasoned right before it hit my table. If they brought down the price of the menu items a bit, I wouldn’t be so hesitant to eat here more often.
It’s a chain, but….. You must go and try it out – great food and the italian chocolate cake is amazing.
Was better. Carino’s hasn’t been the same since they dropped their first name. I believe some corporation took over, and basically have watered down all of the food. Used to have the best dessert around (The chocolate cake/brownies), but have lost the toffee pieces that gave it a crunch and great flavor. Still pretty good, just not the same as it used to be.09 Aug, 2009Not as good as it used to be. Carino’s has gone downhill since it ceased being Johnny Carino’s. Still pretty good. Italian Chocolate Cake dessert is still the best thing they have.
Great food for the money but I miss seeing their NASCAR!
Pretty good for chain Italian. The spicy dishes are my favorite, and they have warm hot bread and dipping oil. Sometimes the wait is a little long, call ahead.
Fake Italian Food. Carino’s serves up the worst Italian food in the world. I made better spaghetti when I was 7 years old, and I’m an awful cook. I’d honestly rather crack open a can of spaghettios and eat it cold with no utensils while standing barefoot on sharp gravel.
Corporate Anyone?. Yes, like I said, leave this option for when you just want food. I assume if you got to this review you want Italian. Sure, you’ll get Italian with a twist here…..but if you want the real deal. Try some of the many other local Italian restaurants. Heck, Cafe Eccell is more Italian than Carino’s. And I like some of what Carino’s has. It’s just all the same no matter where you go.
