Fresh Mediterranean, Luna Grill be thy name. What a nice surprise to find such a cool restaurant in the Market Street shops off of Colleyville Road. Luna Grill claims to be all natural, non-GMO, antibiotic and preservative free. They support locally harvested produce, sustainable harvesting and local business whenever possible. All that got me going and once I looked at the menu I had a hard time deciding what I wanted. It ALL looked so good. I ultimately decided on the gyro plate with a pomegranate lemonade as my beverage of choice. I selected a small table and was surprised how heavy the chair was. Solid wrought iron. The interior was nice and bright with soft music being piped through the rafters. The clever tongue-in-cheek chandeliers had silverware extending from its centers. You might not notice it right away, but once you did, you were in on the joke. The pomegranate lemonade was slightly puckery, but had enough sweetness to make it delectable. The wait was not long at all. Before I knew it they had brought my gyro plate. Wow! This looked wonderful! And it was! The gyro meat was fresh, not overly hot, temperature wise, but on par with other gyro styled meats I’ve had in the past. The salad was divine. Very simple, but substantial. The basmati rice was fluffy and the four corners of pita bread were just enough considering everything else on the plate. If you are not into Mediterranean food, they have a grass fed burger, and a number of wraps (chicken, sirloin) that might be more of your choosing. The manager came around and I was able to tell him how pleased I was with everything. It is a little pricey, but the food was so good, I have no problem with it. Kid’s meals run $4.50 and consists of either a chicken quesadilla, gyros meat, chicken kabob or a kid’s burger. I really love this place.
