Portion Size. It’s hard to say you had a good dining experience when you have left the restaurant hungry after several courses. I ordered the homemade gnocchi, and though the quality was great, the small child sized portion left me with an empty plate that was quickly swept away by the wait staff as if it were never there. Not to be fooled by the grand size of the dish with its elegant broad rim, seven miniature pasta balls carefully spaced across the flat base of the platter easily puts the dish around $2 per bite, and leaves you eagerly spectating the neighboring entrees for leftovers… But unfortunately there were none to be found.
Visited for the first time with my hubby and we both were very impressed! Atmosphere was great, food was great and service great!!! We will be back!
Very nice place. Don’t let the old Taco Bell restaurant scare you, it has been dressed up nicely. Our server Nacho was great and so was the food. Bus waiters were always there to fill glass and clear table. We had chicken breast and salmon as main course. Both were great but chicken should be skinless. For salad we had Caesar salad and for desert Tres Leches chocolate cake. Both recommended. Caesar salad has slight sweet taste I liked but my wife did not as much. Huge wine list! With bottle of wine our bill was $135 w tip. Not bad for upscale dining.
WHAT A MESS- NEVER AGAIN!. We ate here 3 months ago. Service was terrible, and very slow. But the food was good. We thought we would give it another try. What a huge mistake. Nothing has changed in 3 months. Service is still terrible. Service is very unorganized. Servers and bartender did not seem to know what was going on. (Poorly trained?) Took forever to get out drink order in, then server/bartender made the wrong drinks. (This happened twice!) Apps and salads came out together? Then the apps were cold. When we finally got our main course, 1 1/2 hours later, that also came out wrong! We did talk to the owner and she told us that there were other places for us to go eat!!! I would take the owners advice, and find somewhere else to eat! I know that we will not be back.
Having been just about everywhere and having eaten at many great restaurants I guess I was surprised and disappointed with Next all at the same time. I don’t believe I’ve ever has a Caesar salad dressing that was SWEET or croutons that were so heavy infused with saffron. Our 6 year old daughter’s pizza was so heavy seasoned also with saffron that it wasn’t eatable. You may think I don’t like saffron but nothing could be further front the truth. I just like to taste SOMETHING else in the food beside a seasoning (seasoning as in added to enhance the flavor of the food not overwhelm it). The pork loin I ordered was suppose to have a garlic sauce which I guess if you put chunks of garlic in a sauce could technically qualify this as having been a garlic sauce. Portion size was similar to a very exclusive/trendy NYC or SF restaurant but someone forgot to tell Next this is Colleyville Texas not NYC or SF. Service was S. L. O. W. Hope they continue to fool people into thinking this is Mediterranean infused fine dining, I’ve had that many times but not at Next. Suggest you find another restaurant to tickle your taste buds.
Went to this place after reading the reviews. Was not disappointed! Only complaint was our waiter. He might if been new, but everything else was great! Loved the food
We have tried so many places around the area, and this is honesty one of the best, if not the best at which we have eaten! It’s a great place for a nicer dinner as a date or just for fun. Everything, from the food, to the service ( didn’t have drinks this time, but I would bet they are good too) was top of the line. You will not regret trying this!
