Nothing special. Mediocre food, bland. If you thought you would get great fish and chips here you are wrong! Unless you like fresh frozen fish. Burger cooked correctly but tasteless Overall not worth going back.Uncomfortable tall chairs with very very small butt cushion area to sit on. Sounds petty but after 30 min you are glad to go
I really wanted to love this place. Arrived around 5:30. Place was half empty. Greeted and seated. Nice decor. Hostess said she’d be back with menus. Then nothing. Waited 10 minutes before going to the bar to get drinks. Bartender offered to send our server over. I ordered beers and asked for menus. Got the menus! After 10 more minutes, she brought our beers, but they were wrong. 15 more minutes went by and she still hadn’t come back to take our order. I went back to the bar to tab out, but bartender says he’ll get our server again. Unbelievable. 45 minutes after walking in the door, we’re talking about walking our tab because no one cares enough to serve us or take our money! We noticed other guests having similar issues. We finally paid and went somewhere good to eat. I see this location isn’t listed on http://www.thelondonerpub.com. They must not want to be associated with the service here either. Boycotted.
Pleasantly surprised! Stopped in for lunch. Had a friend recommend the fish and chips, but asked Chris at the bar what was best. He said everything is made fresh in house, and I believe it! I got the fish, and the portion was more than I could finish. The tartar sauce was yummy too! The gentleman sitting next to me went on and on about his burger. It looked delicious. There was conversation about the pickles…evidently made in house too? I checked out the tap beers.., more than twenty and NOT what you would normally find in any other bar. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!!
I’ll admit, the atmosphere is unique. I really want to enjoy this place, but I didn’t have the best first experience. Burger was ok, and I got bottom of the bag crispy fries. The place was freezing and it was just an ok first experience. Expected more. I’ll go back for the beer, not the food.
First visit tonight. Food was good and well priced. Excellent service and great beer menu! Bartender very knowledgeable!
Service is Horrible. Curry fries are yummy but were way different the second time. Ordered a Shandy,it was good the first time and gross the 2nd. Found out by my server they were out of sprite and lemon and so the bartender decided to give me beer and ginger ale. Who does that???
Good crowd for a thurs night. Appreciated the decor, but wasn’t impressed with the food. Fries were translucent with grease and chicken avocado sandwich was just okay. Nothing was seasoned. Tried my husband’s fish and chips and was glad I didn’t order it. Across the Pond has spoiled me.
