We love Comfort Pizza! We live southeast of San Antonio so we dont get to visit as often as wed like, but every time we come to Comfort you can bet well be stopping by! We have had the experience of waiting until it was too late to order, but I would never blame that on the establishment. This pizza is amazing and well worth the effort of making plans if you have a large group or are visiting during busy dining hours (e.g. Saturday evening! :-P). Writing this review makes me hungry- We will be visiting again soon!

Take it from a local who eats here pretty often – they have fabulous pizza, salads, and brew. I suggest adding the garlic and basil to ANY pizza. It’s so worth it. Seating is all outdoors, which is great except on super rainy or cold days (but that’s what takeout is for). It’s a very relaxing garden spot with friendly service. Re: complaints about waits in some of the other reviews – that’s what happens when you have a single wood fired oven. This is not a pizza factory, but a handcrafted product baked in a specialized but small oven. You come here for taste, not speed and mass production. If you don’t want to wait, especially if you have a huge party on a busy night, this is not the place for you to go. The same goes for people who said they were unhappy about them running out of dough. They can only make so much per day, and if they get a lot of orders they DO sell out, just like bakeries. That’s the trade-off for really great food sometimes. It’s a problem you can easily fix by calling them and reserving dough. We’ve done that plenty of times if we want pizza in the mid to late evening. This is a Comfort treasure, and we love them dearly, and we think you will too.
