Service was horrible. Waited forever for drinks and chips. I was very disappointed overall. I would not eat here again.
Just OK. The food wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad. My whole experience was just so-so. The house margarita was bland, the rice was salty, but the poblano enchilada was pretty good.
Queso is like concession stand nacho cheese, I do not recommend wasting money ordering queso. I have had several different types of their enchiladas, they are all very good. The green salsa and table-side guacamole are tasty. Not my favorite Mexican restaurant, but it is good.
Will not return. New years Eve, early,small crowd. No matter, order was was placed on the table incorrect and imcomplete. Waitress never returned to check with us. Ordered the fajita special, it was barely warm,even the metal platter. Meat appeared to have been cooked ahead of time. Tasteless bean and rice, Everything was barely warm. Check had items added we did not order. Food mediocre at best, service terrible. Will not ever go back!
We had lunch at Mama Juanita’s because it was right next to the La Quinta we were staying at. Our meals were great, and the vegetable soup was an awesome value.
GREATEST MEXICAN FOOD. I have no idea what these bad reviews are talking about,.. Mama Juanita’s has the best food and service I have had or seen in a while. My husband and me are retired and travel quite a bit. My husbands mother is almost 97.. And my husbands 74th birthday fell on mothers day this year. Soooo they both wanted to go to Mama Juanita’s. WE DO NOT LIVE HERE.. We live near Center, TX.. But mom is in a nursing home in Conroe. We drove to Conroe, picked her up and had lunch at Mama Juanita’s .. We visited with her a few hours and then drove about 3 hours back home… Yes we have eaten at MANY food places, but this is one of the best..
Abusive Children. We used to eat here several times a week, but the last 2 times customers let their children run wild and management will not say anything to them. After complaining we were told they did not want to lose the business of these people. These children were unbelievably attacking the waiters and when they saw a tray of food being delivered to a table the 3 children repeatedly kicked the waiter! There are too many other Mexican restaurants in Conroe where management would handle this problem. We won’t be back.
