New York-style bagels. I’ve only had the Pacific Salmon on an Everything bagel at Benny’s and it’s sooooooo much better than Einstein’s version of the same thing. One peccadillo of mine is that Einsten’s places the onion on top and it becomes unwieldy to eat. Not at Benny’s! The salmon is a better quality, there’s more tomato, the onion is underneath both, and the the capers are twice the size of Einstein’s. Plus, the bagels are boiled, then baked, like in New York, so they’re not so chewy. The only downside is that they charge for coffee refills. Wassupwiddat?!? Since the price for this dish is about the same as Einstein’s, this is a much better deal and better quality. And…it’s only a few blocks away, unlike Einstein’s. My new go-to place for bagels.
