Great Food Great Service. Me and my boyfriend went to las ranitas for the first time last week and not only is he a picky eater, but a very special one too. When we first went in to the Arlington location off Abrams and Highway 360 infront of the general motors plant, not only were we impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant but also the great service of the wait staff. We ordered the Chicken Don Policarpio and it was wonderful our table was clean our food was delicious and it was prices just right. I got a full serving of chicken rice beans and pico de gallo with a drink for 13.50. Great Place!
No Frills Tex-Mex — tasty!. Las Ranitas has been a favorite of our family since the day they opened (at least 10 years ago!). The restaurant originally had a sports bar atmosphere but over the years has tried to morph into a slightly more refined tex-mex restaurant. The changes have been good in some respects (for example, tamales were added to the menu), and not so good in others (the beef fajitas are now mushy and lack a distinctive flavor). Refried beans are consistently good, and the salsa is always fresh and full of tomato chunks. The service at Las Ranitas is excellent 99.9% of the time — Several of the waitstaff have become like extended family members to us. Prices are fair and balanced for the amount of food received. This is a family friendly restaurant that won’t break the budget. It’s definitely worth a visit.
