Food is really good. Ambiance is cool. If you treat it like Europe and expect little or no service (especially if you aren’t there to get sloshed on wine) it was good. It would have been a no brainier UP, but waited for 20 min with no waiter. Fail.
Intimate Wine LOUNGE. We started our Girls Night Out last night at Mercy Wine Bar. The atmosphere makes this place; it’s a blend of the Tuscan you find in so many wine bars, but with a swanky lounge vibe. We enjoyed the ambient music playing when we arrived, but unfortunately we had other plans so we missed the majority of a high-energy, latin-fusion band that struck up as we were leaving. I would’ve been happy sitting there listening to their show. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the wine menu, we allowed him to pick based on our tastes, and we were all pleased with what he served us. We had a cheese platter, flatbread and the truffle fries; all was yummy, but we’d probably skip the fries next time and go for the tuna. 🙂 I will definitely go back and take my husband on one of our intimates night out.
Worth the repeat visit!. I have been to Mercy Wine Bar several times – the reason? Good service, good food and good wine. Every time I visited, I got the flight along with their cheese plate, which is fantastic! Other than that, I highly recommend their truffle fries (yummy!) and any other item on their menu, which I had the chance of savouring thanks to my companion’s plate! I never felt like a second-class citizen when using a $25 coupon. They treat you the same no matter what!
Love love love! Great host and wait staff, we’ll be back!!
Great place for dinner. We went to Mercy’s on a Friday night on our way back to Plano from North Dallas and are we glad we did.Arriving at 6:15, we were seated on the lower level at arable for 2 immediately. It was still Happy Hour so we each ordered a glass of wine and studied the menu. I had the cab/Shiraz blend and she had the Pinot Noir and both were great. We love wine and great cheese and noticed some super selections on the menu, but decided to leave those for another night. It was dinner time for us so we each ordered an entree. My wife ordered the salmon from the menu and I had the haddock special, both with a side of asparagus. We shared the entrees and both of us thought the whole dinner was very well prepared. We finished with the chocolate mouse and coffee. Dessert was great but we had a small problem with the decaf coffee. It was quickly addressed by our waiter.Net net – it was a great meal, super service and overall a very pleasant experience. Can’t wait to come back for the wine and cheese.
Thanks. A long time coming; My wife made me go – I enjoyed this night out and feel I received more than i paid. What a wonderful surprise. I WILL BE BACK.
Plain and simple, the service sucks. Should not have to get up from the table to order a glass of wine.
