Chilly Review. My husband and I are new to the area and thought Soho’s Food and Jazz would be a fun place to have a romantic dinner. We made reservation for a Thursday night which turned out to be one of the coldest of the year. We made the reservations for 6;30 thinking we could have a martini and then eat and listen to the music that started at seven thirty. When we arrived we were told the heater was not working. It didn’t seem that cold to us so we stayed. We were the only people there, and all the waitress did was complain about the cold and how she could be at home now if it were not for our reservations. We had our martini and then we were served our main course. She had forgotten our salad. The salad came out after our meal. The kitchen offered to keep our food warm until we had our salad, but by that time we just wanted to eat and get out of there. The bill came to $120.00 and took us less than an hour. It took me longer to get ready We didn’t even want to stay for the jazz. An expensive night that was not enjoyable.

Jazz Good, Food Overpriced. We went to Soho on a week night to listen to jazz and were not disappointed in the music. However, the food and drink are overpriced and this is far from the quality or value we expect for a 4 or 5 star restaurant. Additionally, the restrooms had a strong odor that ruined your appetite. Go for the music and have a drink, but if you want a dinner for $30+ per person, go elsewhere.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! The food is just so inquisitive and tasty. The place is small, but it is very comforting. They have live jazz after 8, and the waiters are always top notch. Food is a little pricey, but it’s worth it. I always get the tea, crab cake salad, and free range chicken-yummmmmmm!
