A visit to downtown Dallas with a colleague saw us having an early dinner here. We were in the mood for something light and ended up ordering the Angry Dog each, which was basically a beef hot-dog. The beef was prepared well, and lent its taste to the bread as well. It was sprinkled generously with cheese and jalapenos, which made it slightly spicy and all the more tasty. And finally, it was quite filling to last me the rest of the night, partly thanks to the bowl of French fries that came along with the dish.
My favorite brunch spot in Dallas. They have an extensive menu that has something for everyone. I had the chicken and waffles and the gravy ! Have also had the breakfast chicken taco dish that was great. Mimosas are yummy and the bread basket rocks! Best Part = cookies to go! the dream / everything bar from the bakery case will make your day! Cookies are awesome as well!
Just a great joint, full of character and really representative of the feel and vibe of Deep Ellum. From a menu perspective the choices are deep and varied and I like the fact that I’ve been able to go lighter and healthy at times or a little more aggressive at others but still had numerous items from which to choose. The chili is excellent (make sure to add the cheddar cheese) and I have had several sandwiches and burgers all of which were hearty and well prepared (the fries are excellent as well). Today we were served by Vincent who was friendly despite being busy and educated on the menu (my friend asked about a particular item and was given an excellent and thorough rundown). This is a neighborhood tavern and grill the way they are supposed to be!
I’ve never been here at night for drinks, but it is in a pretty convenient location for lunches and they can do a quick carry out in most cases during the lunch rush. I can’t believe I’m admitting to this, but I always get the spinach and avocado caeser salad with chicken. It doesn’t seem like the kind of place that would have such a ‘fancy’ Caesar salad, but it does, and it’s ddeeeeelicious! Friendly bartenders, too.
I have been here a few times and have always been completely satisfied! Good sandwiches, good burger, good beer and good atmosphere! I will definitely be going back.
Nice place to and have a lunch break. Good bar food and even better hot dogs, showered with different ingredients. Every time I go I get the chili cheese dog with fries. it never lets me down and to make it better the waiters are cool and nice, so you time will be enjoyable.
Went here and ordered the famous Angry Dog. It was awesome! It covered most of my plate. I see why they recommend using a knife and a fork. It was so much chili that there was no way to eat it with just your hand without making a mess. Our waiter was also great. My cup never went empty and all I had was water! I will definitely be going back to try some of the other items on the menu.
