Got the lunch bento – was filling and good! The sushi was great, the beef teriyaki was average but the fresh orange at the end was an amazing touch. Super value – fairly quick!
Another restaurant in the ever improving food scene that has become a key draw to the Deep Ellum area. One of two different sushi places, that I know of, in the area. Sushi in Texas always makes me nervous but the fish smelled right and tasted good, not as fresh obviously as other places closer to the coast but still good. The menu has all the typical sushi, sashimi, nigiri and bento box options that have become a standard of U.S. sushi places. That however isn’t a bad thing since they do it well. Smallish dining area, full bar and the prep station that is elevated and in full view of diners, create a cozy almost dive atmosphere. Good sushi.
Bento box is fairly standard at lunch, offers great value without a lot of frills. Filling. Orange is always refreshing. Next time I’ll go deep into the sushi
I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box from Deep Sushi. It was delicious! Came with chicken teriyaki, salad with ginger dressing, a California roll, orange and some salmon and shrimp sushi! Yum.
This is my favorite restaurant in Dallas, definitely the best sushi I’ve ever had. I rarely like pink meat sushi, but this one has me craving their spicy tuna roll. They have actual Japanese sushi chefs, the best music I’ve ever heard at any restaurant, and they take reservations for large groups! I’m even signed up for all of their programs. Best aesthetics and ambiance at any restaurant you could imagine!
Bad service, over priced & not good. Had lunch here. the staff doesn’t speak english well. messed up our order and when we asked to fix it, got charged double. I asked the tattooed cool guy manager to fix it and he stared at us and said thats the way it goes. did nothing about it, not even an apology. The sushi smelled old and tasted cheap. never coming back.
