Grossly overrated. Stroll past it for the novelty value of seeing very large pizzas. Dont waste your money and time being a patron though. The pizza is a bit of a joke. It’s flavorless, doughy, undercooked, underseasoned, and not worth the price. Nor is it worth the excruciating wait. Be prepared to wait 30 mins to get a custom slice. Most disappointing of all though are the absolutely shabby, rundown and unsanitary interiors. I think whoever owns this place thinks that those torn up sofas and grotty tables add to the charm of the place. False. It just serves as a reminder that Serious Pizza is the culinary equivalent of a messy teen’s bedroom. It’s an embarrassment and an affront to paying customers – of which there are many. There’s no shortage of poor taste and standards, after all. Finally, the overall service style here is bizarrely curt, arrogant and delusional. It’s a pizza place, not a night club. The cashiers and table plonkers (I cant bring myself to call them servers) act like you’re blessed to be visiting the outlet. There are rules and signs for how to queue, what to do, what to say etc. I’ve made the mistake of visiting Serious Pizza a number of times simply because it’s located very close to a live music venue I frequent. However, there are several other places you’re better off going to. About the only thing serious about this outlet is their delusion of grandeur.
