My girlfriend and I spent 4 months in the USA and covered 13,000 miles in a roadtrip. We ate a lot of food, especially burgers and according to my girlfriend uncle Uber’s had the best burger she’s ever eaten. It was just a beef burger with cheese and mushrooms but it was prefect. I had the shaved ribeye sandwich and ooh baby it was the best steak sandwich I’ve ever been blessed enough to wrap my lips around.
A busy unique sandwich place with its own personality. They have their own spin on what they make for sure. I have been twice, chicken breast once and smokin’ turkey once. The fries have their own seasoning, which I don’t prefer, but others enjoyed. They offer special sauces that they’ve developed in house. I’ve liked it both times I’ve had it. Quick order at the counter, grab a table, wait to hear your name type place. Gets busy at lunch time.
Uncle Uber’s is a great lunch spot. It is both quick and convenient. Most recently I ordered the grilled cheese. It was unique, and the red peppers added a nice touch to the otherwise classic sandwich.They have a good variety available on their menu, and some pretty great cocktail options. I highly recommend to any sandwich lover!
Great pulled pork sandwich and loved the 80’s metal playing through the speakers. My wife, son, and I loved the food and my wife picked up a cool Uncle Uber shirt.
The Flaming Lips Cheesesteak on the SECRET MENU is seriously hot! Which is a good thing. The PBLT is okay, the burgers are juicy, hand-cut fries are great (esp. if dipped in their habanero sauce). The vibe reminds me of Twister Root. deboramanusama.com
I went with a group of work friends that I raved about this place, after reading an article about the chicken sandwich so the bar was set pretty high. Uncle Uber totally delivered. It was delicious and cooked so quickly. I was happy to see local beer offered. The atmosphere was very Deep Ellum and modern yet dirty. Chicken sandwiches are hard to make unique but if anything stood out, it was the habanero ranch. Addicting!
I went for lunch earlier this week and was very impressed. It took a little while to get through the line but that’s not uncommon during the lunch rush and once we ordered, our food was out super fast. I got the Veggie BunME and loved it. Great variety of veggies and very filling. Definitely looking forward to going back and trying more!
