I love the food, but hate the packed area of this restaurant and even more the long waiting lines if you get there at a busy time. Take out service is horrible. The lady cannot even get the order right after repeating it 3 times.
Good food. Reasonable Prices. Friendly waitstaff. But…..Not forthcoming about price of ceviche option not found on menu: Was about to order shrimp ceviche on menu. Cost $10. Was told by waiter that tuna ceviche, not found on menu, was also an option, which I then elected. No mention of difference in price. When I received bill, cost of tuna ceviche $16! Complained to waiter, who handed off this issue to manager. Manager then arrived explaining he was sorry for misunderstanding, and that he would split difference?! I said no. He was unwilling to budge so I paid additional $3. A classic bait and switch scheme where price was not made clear and no effort on their side to provide any proof. An otherwise good meal ruined by dishonest tactics. No tip and I left spending less money than if they’d just been straight with me.

I was there this week and I kept getting a scent of skunk, at first I thought it was just me but after I heard several other customers complain about it, I knew it wasn’t just me. I ordered the pasta calamari dish, not very good, might as well have had a can of spaghetti O’s. The other food seemed like it was ok…but maybe it was the skunk smell that I kept getting, it was even affecting the taste of the food and causing a bad after taste. But the place seems nice and its in the newer part of Laredo so maybe they will improve and hopefully be successful.
