Rip off prices for mediocre food. Last friday, my wife and i ordered some takeout from this joint: one order of shrimp fried rice; an order of chicken curry; and, two spring roles. to be fair, the roles were made of real crab meat. the fried rice was okay–no complaint. the chicken curry, however, was way under par–the curry was overcooked, and the chicken i think was made of chicken jerky. it wasn’t rubbery, but a real tough chew. the spring rolls fell apart at the touch–you pick one up, try to dip it in the sauce, and good luck if it makes it to your mouth intact. and then if it does, that’s the last of it because it comes down in pieces after that. you need to scoop it up with a fork.but then, to top it all off, they guy there hits us with a bill of $73!! upon ordering, i’ll admit i didn’t ask in advance how much it would come out to be (first mistake), but then, for two dishes and a pair of spring roles, i thought, how much can it be? 30 bucks? maybe 35? that’s what one would expect to pay. then, when he handed me the $73 bill upon pickup, i thought What gall. i might have questioned. although astonished, i paid and left–never to return. don’t go there–it’s a rip off. the person there at the helm has no shame. by the way, the restaurant was empty when i went there. maybe that’s why he decided to double up on the bill. how near sighted. for the price of the extra 30 bucks he made with no return of value, he lost a customer.

Most unique food in Laredo, hands down. If you like to experiment with food, this is the place to go. It’s a small restaurant but the service is good. I recommend asking the waiter what to get if you really want to try something different.
