We dined there for our anniversary. My spouse had the chicken alfredo, while I had the grilled chicken parmesan. I opted for the marinara sauce in place of the white wine Parmesan sauce; it added to the depth of flavor. However, the chicken felt a bit heavy, not a light meal, but quite satisfying. Friendly waitress.
Olive Garden in Laredo has to have the worst staff I have ever seen at a restaurant! I came to eat here just the other night and when I entered the hostess was no where to be found so I had to wait 5 minutes to get a table even though there was no one waiting in front of me. Ok no big deal right? Keep on reading. The entire time I was waiting there were waiters sitting in the bar area screaming and laughing at each other in a very unprofessional manner! Then after the hostess arrived and I was on my way to be seated one of the waitresses who was screaming and laughing in the bar area THREW ICE AT ME! Luckily it hit the wall next to me. It turned out she was playing around with another waiter who happened to be standing next to me and they were throwing ice at each other AT WORK. Thank God my waiter was very mannered and attentative, even though he did forget that I ordered wheat pasta therefore making me wait another 10 minutes so he could fix my plate. Overall, I found the staff at Olive Garden to be EXTREMELY idiotic and unprofessional! I’ve eaten at Olive Gardens across the country from California to Vermont and have NEVER encountered such stupidity and immaturity! Eat at any other Olive Garden and the staff will be kind and friendly the moment you step through the door! I will most certainly not eat here again and encourage others to do the same until these waiters are fired and replaced with people who will take their job seriously.
Though this is a franchise Italian restaurant, it should still have standards. My visits there have been acceptable. The service and food is hit or miss but the most recent visit was great. It was a busy night but there were no problems. I ordered their fried calamari and stuff mushroom appetizer, steak Gorgonzola with fettuccine, and a slice of Black Tie Mousse Cake for dessert. Well worth the high price tag.
Extremely commercial Italian. Sorry, I only liked the salad and minestrone soup. This is some of the blandest Italian food I’ve ever tried,,,
The food is mediocre at least the one in Laredo, the crew is the worst. The host in the front had us waiting for no reason when there were plenty of servers standing by the bar talking. we were only a table of two and waited and then only to be sat by a nicer gentleman who greeted us after 15 min. The server which was also a bartender was blah and not very attentive most of his concentration went to the servers standing by the bar having conversations and laughing loudly I will never eat at the olive garden in Laredo again, possibly take out but never dine-in. The crew is horrible.
Ok food. Good flavor from a franchise restaurant. Service is average, sometimes wait times are ridiculous. A little pricey for pasta on some dishes.
