Good grilled chicken, dirty eating area.. We have eaten at Pollo Palenque before and will say the grilled chicken has good flavor and the tortillas are very tasty and soft. With that said me and the wife went to eat there this Wednesday and chicken was good as always but the eating area was dirty. There were papers and pieces of chicken on the floor and the tables were dirty with water and grease from the chicken. The ambiance was very busy and noisy. We would not recommend to eat here unless you are picking up chicken to go.

If this is indeed the Pollo Palenque which I have eaten at, then the rating is in dire need of attention and recognition. PP serves authentic Mexican grilled chicken. I was told by a friend that every time he and his friends come to Laredo, they MUST stop at PP at least once during their trip. Their menu is small, featuring mainly chicken (which is excellent), decent sides, and several homemade salsas (they are all excellent and pair perfectly with the chicken). If you’re in the area and have a taste for chicken/mexican, frequent this establishment!
