The local pizza shop. After months of searching for a non-chain pizza place in Laredo, I finally stumbled upon Sal’s Pizza. There is no menu, just a few seats, and only one size of pizza. That being said, this is solid New York-style pizza. It’s about $12 for a one topping pizza, and as far as I know there are dine in lunch specials and take out. The crust is thin, soft, and floppy. The owner has been making pizza for about 30 years, about 14 of them in Laredo. Hands down this beats every chain pizza, and the price is certainly fair for a large pizza. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.
