Fantastic. Authentic Mexican food. Excellent service. Ambiance is great. On the higher end with respect to price if you compare it to TexMex….which this is not. Price is spot on. Really hits the spot – in fact we drive to Laredo (my hometown) and always begin our stay w/ lunch here. Provechito!
Not impressed.. So I came here to celebrate a promotion for my wife and thought it would be a great spot. I checked the menu and was pretty excited by it. Sadly though this place fell very short from my expectations. I ordered the guac and some of their quail wings. I had the idea that being on the border, no self respecting restaurant would serve guac that wasnt fresh. Wrong. The guac may have been or may not have been homemade, not sure, but it was terrible. The wings were sadly tasteless and to top it off this place is very overpriced. This place needs a revamp and start making their foods fresh.
We have been going.to.this restaurant since it opened about 15 years ago. The food and service were always excellent-although pricey;but we noticed that the quality of food and service have declined in the past couple of years. Recently, we went for lunch and were charged almost double just for substituting a side of rice and beans for side salad and vegetables (the veggies looked like they were defrosted in a hurry in the microwave.
A Laredo Original. Very good, one of my favorite mexican restaurants! Not cheap unless they’re referring to the lunch menu or appetizers. Service is not predictable , depends on the evening or day. I have had great service and really bad as well. This is a Laredo classic and if you haven’t tried it – GO try it.My favorite Signature dishes are the poblano rice, the poblano soup- all their dishes are unique and good!
The food at Too’s is sooo good! The service is only a look away. It is a family oriented restaurant and whether the cook is a professional or not, the food is amazing. The most expensive thing on the menu is the Medallones al limon or al chipotle, it’s $29.95. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced as I personally would never order something I couldn’t afford! Too’s is a great place for a comittee luncheon or just lunch or dinner with friends or family.
Outrageously Overpriced!!. This restaurant is a great place if you have the need to show off the fact that you have money to blow. Almost $50.00 for a 16oz steak was a shocker. The food quality was that of a family restaurant, not an upper echelon place. It’s pretty clear that there isn’t a renowned chef in the kitchen. Standard plate portions, relatively poor table service for the restaurant being as empty as it was. And the attitude of the management to separate a bill was ludicrous. If they dropped the attitude and the prices, this restaurant could be a shining star, but they’ve got a way to go with that.
