Always bugs me when II order a beer from a beer menu and they come back to say they’ve been out of it for a while… .Good service otherwise and the chili is decent.
We had lunch in this nice sports bar in downtown Dallas on Wednesday afternoon. From a decor standpoint it’s what you’d expect from a sports bar – lots of wood, nice bar top, tons of TVs. The staff was very friendly – helpful, courteous and fast service.Food wise it’s also an excellent choice – standard bar fare but done well – sandwiches, burgers, chili dogs, all very good. The place also boasts an excellent draft selection including several local craft options.Overall Press Box is an excellent value – lunch was about $100 for 5 of us, bar and tip included. As a bonus it’s a short walk from many of downtown Dallas’ tourist destinations as well; walkable from all of them. Give this place a shot and you won’t be disappointed.
I was craving buffalo wings and this was the closest spot, I got wings and a house salad. The salad was great, it’s hard to mess that up. I was really not a fan of the wings here but I would definitely go back and try something different.
I enjoyed my salad! I came for lunch so I feel like I’d probably have a better review if I came back for a Mavs game and some alcohol with my bar food 🙂
I’ve been here about a dozen times. Great night life spot to watch a game and have a couple with friends. Staff and management here are like friends themselves. Good people. Downtown lunch is good here too. Food comes out quickly and the staff is attentive. Press Box gets packed (which is a good sign to me) so you sometimes have a couple minutes to wait at lunch times. Not too long though. Food choices have always been good. I’ll go back.Outdoor covered seating street side. TVs all around the venue.
Press box completely exceeded my expectations! I got the blackened chicken sandwich with curly fries – it was DELICIOUS. There are so many things on the menu that i want to try! We went there at peak lunch hour, the wait was only 5 minutes or so, the food came out pretty quickly.
I don’t know why I thought this, but I was expecting typical sports bar food when we went here. It was REALLY good though, definitely going back too. I had chicken fingers (which makes me sound like a 5 year old, I know I know) and it was super crispy, a good portion, and had yummy honey mustard for dipping. Also got to try the sweet potato cake and the red velvet cake – both of which were absolutely incredible, and reminded me of the homemade desserts you can buy at those legendary diners in New Jersey. Also, even though it was packed at lunch time, we were seated right away and service was really quick, which is always a plus.
