We enjoyed great service on the patio, a tasty margarita, and the biggest, juiciest hamburger we’ve seen in this part of the world. So glad we stopped in!
The atmosphere was good, with a sports bar kind of vibe. The server was friendly and prompt, and he kept the chips and salsa coming. I caught the happy hour and had a margarita with a double shot of tequila. Not bad for the money. I order the flank steak with two enchiladas. When the food arrived, there was a small spinach salad on the plate, two smothered enchiladas, and pieces of sliced beef on a bed of rice. There was also some sort of vegetable mix. The enchiladas were tasty but nothing to write home about. I’m fairly certain the flank steak was the pre-cooked stuff that comes with the simulated grill marks that you buy in a bag from Sam’s Club or Costco. It was an eight dollar meal that cost me eighteen dollars. My stomach was full when I left, but too pricey given the quality and authenticity.
Food was amazing. Wait staff was extremely friendly & eager to help us find more exciting places to check out while downtown. Our stay was for a weekend only & we found ourselves returning the next night for more margaritas & to try the ribs our server, Joel, told us about the night before. The meat fell right off the bone. Will definitely be back soon.
Had lunch there today and was not disappointed. I take that back, the only disappointing thing was that I wasn’t there during happy hour as it looked like a great summer day after work place (to be continued on that!). Indoor and covered outdoor seating with very friendly service and plenty of TV’s if you’re planning to go watch a game. The lunch menu was very robust and I loved the mix of BBQ preparation within more traditional Mexican dishes. The place is right on the heart of downtown (right next to the big eyeball) and therefor easy access for lunch or dinner for anyone working in the city. This was a very enjoyable and affordable lunch and I was very pleased with the overall experience. Looking forward to visiting again.
The margaritas were a bad mix with a drop of tequila! Tried a rum and coke….why does the rum always have to be gone?! All drinks were watered down not good! Then we got our food! Had they put some alcohol in the drinks we may have appreciated the food. But the fajitas had absolutely no spice and the veggies with them were a giant pile of unflavored onions and a slice of red pepper. Skip this one…it is not worth it!
Refused service to a person that is handicapped. This restaurant refused to seat our party unless we all went upstairs to dine together and we had a friend that is physically handicapped and could not climb stairs. They would not allow a few of us to dine downstairs and the rest upstairs to accommodate her needs. They said all of us have to go upstairs or none at all. Never in my life have I been so angry about a restaurant not accommodating the needs of a diner!
Queso is canned cheese, ribs are overlooked. They’re not suppose to fall off the bone & the Sangria is well, bland at best. On a positive note, the shrimp was pretty good.
