Not tonight!. Bought a parilla for two, and also received two pieces of meat that were and smelled spoil, and they only gave us a 15% discount. I should of told them that i wasn’t going to pay for that most of the food were left behind.
Disappointed. I visited this restaurant for the first time this weekend. The empty parking lot should have been my first indication of what my experience would be like. The decor was interesting but it fell short of being the family restaurant I was expecting. We spent our time having a long conversation with the manager regarding the portioning and cost of a botana meal. The staff is very poorly trained, service was bad and very overpriced. There are so many other great places in Edinburg. Go out and enjoy but I would not comment this place at all.
Upset and disappointed!! (Trevino’s). 3/30/14, We ordered food from Trevino’s for pick-up (menudo) and were told it would be ready in 15 minutes, I asked if the menudo was not too old given the time (8 PM) and was told it was good. After 20 minutes, we went to pick up the order and had to wait another 45 minutes. On duty floor manager (Mayra) only gave me excuses for the situation claiming there were too many parties going on. I saw the two large areas in the restaurant and it was about 30% full, as were the customer vehicles parking lot outside. During the wait inside, several other waiting customers were upset, one was telling the wait-staff off because he had been there waiting for quite a while for his order. Another customer walked off and left, a minute later the host received his order and chased him outside but was not able to catch him and returned with the order in the plastic bag. We finally received our order and went home. When we served our food the menudo stank pretty bad and had a very bad taste. We called back and were told to take the food back for refund, which we did. It was a complete inconvenience to have to drive back to Trevino’s for the refund, which was returned in cash, strangely enough, when we had paid wit debit card. I am a loyal customer of Trevino’s but this incident, which I hope is very isolated, really disappointed me. The fact that the food was not recognized as having an offensive odor, a bad taste, the extreme delay for the order, and the floor manager giving only excuses instead of solutions’, will make customers think twice about dining at Trevino’s Restaurant.

Revamped. Big change on the inside with a neat remodeling. Plates and glasses now seem ultra clean and food has been upgraded. I’m hooked on the beef stew.20 Aug, 2010Dark, dank and dirty. Reeks of smoke and the food is greasy and disgusting. The chips are stale and the drinks have a greasy-film about them.I’d avoid this place!
Though the wait was a bit long, the food was good; large portions for a decent price. There were a lot of people and the server was very courteous through the visit. Lots of variety that will even please Weight Watcher participants (there’s a section for those foods). No room for dessert this time.
