The Vietnamese food on the menu is authentic as the owners are Vietnamese and very attentive and friendly as well. My wife and I had the chicken and brisket phos respectively, and both were very good. We will explore the menu further on our next visit since they are so many options, hopefully soon…
The concept of Asian and Cajun cooking combined together really attracted us. We arrived there at 9:20 PM thinking that they closed at 10 PM. We found out later that they closed at 9:30 P.m. and they were gracious enough to allow us to come in and have dinner. Kudos to Victoria who was our waitress and I think one of the owners. The menu itself is really pretty self-explanatory for except a few details regarding the blend of the Asian Cajun flavors. We also noticed that they had some local cuisine like empanadas stuffed with Cajun shrimp, which I think we will try next time we come back. We ordered the fried rice combination, The veggie tofu rice, the chicken fried rice and the char grilled pork and rice plates. I must add here that I questioned The authenticity of the fried rice as my experience has been locally that almost every restaurant that serves some kind of declared fried rice is nothing more than steamed rice colored with soy sauce. Victoria assured me that it was actual fried rice. When we received our plates she was absolutely right. This has been The second place that I have found in town that actually serves real fried rice. To boot it was very tasty. I had the combination fried rice which was a great blend of green onions and green onion tops chopped with peas, carrots, bean sprouts, egg with a blend of chicken, pork, shrimp, with just a hint spiciness as well as some other herbs which I haven’t quite figured out yet. The tofu in the tofu and rice plate was cooked perfectly firm exterior with just a slightly softer interior. With most of the plates you’re given a choice of whether you would like them blackened, Cajun, or Asian style. That leads to a huge variety given their present menu. Everyone else had nothing but compliments and good comments about their own dishes as well. Basically this is definitely a place that we will come back and visit and probably frequently. The ambience is nice nothing fancy, basic but it is more than functional it has some decorative attraction to it. My main critique about that would be that I wish they would get more comfortable chairs instead of those hard metal chairs. A nice touch when you walk in through the front doors they have a very nice aquarium, that you can tell is well-kept, it gives a very pleasant visual appeal as you walk in. I am a strong proponent of supporting local and And that’s what this place is. But not just because of that it is because it is well worth the trip to explore this wonderful combination of Asian Cajun cuisine. I definitely would recommend it.
