Yuck. I ate here this past week worst food I’ve had in a long time. Waited forever, waitress never came by and asked if I needed a refill on my drink and the fake lime taste on my sushi was beyond nasty. Not sure how a place like this can even stay in business. Poor customer service and bad food is the kiss of death.17 Sep, 2014Incredibly Slow. Was in the mood for sushi today and happened to be on the westside. stopped into Katsura. The place was practically empty not a very good sign when it’s noon but I stayed. The waitress was pleasant enough but had no idea what tampico sauce was when I asked. I ordered a Las Vegas roll and I have been waiting for 35 minutes to arrive and it was 15 minutes before my miso soup arrived. I’m giving them 5 more minutes and then I’m paying for my soup and leaving.
The sushi has that manufactured taste. You can tell when sushi is authentic and this is not. The atmosphere is hip and modern. Not my kind of sushi. I prefer a down to earth environment with at least one Japanese person.

The food is good, the place is clean, and the service was excellent. What empressed me the most was the management. They were friendly and knowledgable of their menu. Overall great experience.
Very nice and classy looking place. The ambiance has a nice romantic feel to it. Sushi is really good and you get a lot more rolls than normal for the price you pay. The bartender’s skills has room for improvement but he’s a friendly guy. Wait times for the food was a little long in my opinion but the sushi was well made and like I said before, you get plenty of rolls for what you pay.
