Okay, where do I begin. The service is very good, there’s a Puerto Rican girl who is incredible at her job, and the staff are very friendly and courteous however the food leaves ALLOT to be desired. I asked for no onions on everything I ordered, what did I get on everything? ONIONS. My last straw…

Not bad, but not great. I’d been to this restaurant before they moved to their current location. Unfortunately when they relocated I didn’t know where they were until today when I spotted their sign while driving down the road. Determined to visit them again, I had dinner there tonight. I ordered the Plato Mexicano, which comes with 1 taco, 1 enchilada, 1 chile relleno, rice, beans, and salad. The first thing I noticed was that it seemed the owner’s daughter was filling the role of waitress, and she is, in my estimate, probably around 13 years old. She certainly isn’t a regular waitress that’s motivated to earn a living which was obvious because the service suffered for it. Aside from the initial visit to the table she only stopped by one other time near the end of the meal. The rest of the time I had to catch her attention to have my drink refilled etc. Furthermore she, and what appears to be her younger brother were kicking around a futbol behind the cash register as if they were in a soccer match.Aside from the service, the interior of the place is very clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is nice and one can definitely relax here. They had the TV on with the Futbol game, but the volume was not overly loud. When the food arrived, it was well prepared and hot. The rice was excellent and reminded me of how my mom makes Spanish rice. The beans were ok. They didn’t have any seasoning to speak of, but were nicely topped with a bit of cheese. The chile relleno was also ok. I’ve had better rellenos at other restaurants in town, but it wasn’t bad. Same with the enchilada. The taco on the other hand was yummy and flavorful. All in all the food was decent, but nothing spectacular. I will probably visit this place again a few more times in hopes that the shortcomings will improve, and I certainly hope it doesn’t get worse, or I may drop them from my list.
