Ummm has to be by far the worst jaimaican food ive ever tasted. They only had ox tails left. No cabbage, no plaintains. Was not worth the 10 bucks…

Yeah. Food is great, they just don’t open on time!
YUMMY. I was skeptical at first but from day 1 I was hooked. It’s delicious and the service I got from Heidi was outstanding. She works hard and I can tell she cares about her customers, plus she is really cute 🙂 I recommend you all to try it and you will understand.
Different, tasty, and flavorful!. Saw a quick write up on the el paso times about this new Jamaican restaurant and always looking to try different kinds of food I had to try it out. I ended up going twice in one week, so I guess I really liked it! The restaurant is located in a small but tidy space off dyer just north of the new walmart. They have a limited menu but I’m of the mindset that its always better to have a smaller selection but focus on making those items really shine which in my opinion Rita’s does. The chicken curry was very flavorful with lots of spices (but not spicy) with tender pieces of simmered chicken and potatoes, and while you can definitely taste the curry, it is a completely different spice profile from say a Thai curry or Indian curry both of which I also enjoy. Served up with white rice cooked with coconut milk and delicious sweet fried bananas, its a great combination. I also had a chance to try the jerk chicken, now this dish was heat spicy but also delicious, with lots of complex spices, heat from the chilies, and a tangy vinegary note. In addition to the chicken dishes, they also have goat and shrimp curry and the oxtail stew which is already on my list for my next visit.
Good for El Paso. The jerk chicken is cooked very well and the cabbage. Rice and peas not so good. Overall I like the food. A bit over priced compared to what I’m use to. And the customer service sucks…
