Spectacular. This place is spectacular! I went late last night with my parents, we arrived half an hour before closing and they were more than willing to serve us. The food was delicious, fresh ingredients and great seasoning! The service was also out of this world, they are all very kind and accomodating. The price is extremely reasonable, great value! Can ALWAYS count on great food and great service. When they are crowded they have plenty of staff and you still get the same great food and service. Love the tilapia salad or veggie tamales.
Excellent restaurant. Rio Lerma is an excellent restaurant. The food is always freshly prepared . Some restaurants you know the food has been mass-produced and stuck under a heat light or some such. That is not the case with Rio Lerma. Everything is perfect from the time you enter in the restaurant until you leave. You are always greeted and seated promptly and courteously. Your drink order is taken immediately and you receive fresh chips and salsa immediately. Your order is taken as soon as you are ready. You are not rushed and you are not left wondering where your server went. You never have to ask for drink refills. They take care of you before you need it. After you receive your food the staff checks back to see if everything is ok and if you need anything else. I am Vegan. When my husband and I go to Rio Lerma I order what I want and how I want it and it is always perfect. From asking questions on previous visits they actually create what I want. It is always perfect. At other restaurants I can almost count on my order being wrong and having to send it back. That takes time and is embarrassing. Rio Lerma is concerned with their customers enjoying their meal and coming back. To rate Rio Lerma on food 1-10 I would rate them 10. To rate their service 1-10 I would rate them 10. The only drawback is the location. It is on the service road of Hwy 80 heading towards Dallas right after the Forney Animal Clinic right before the off ramp of Hwy 80. So, if you are headed towards Dallas get off of Hwy 80 at 548 stay on service road until you see Rio Lerma. If you are headed East on Hwy 80 get off at 548 go under bridge, stay on service road until you see Rio Lerma. It is well worth the effort and once you eat there I guarantee you will return again. Please take the time to try this wonderful restaurant. Great food, wonderful management and staff working to make your dining experience perfect. If you should get there and it looks like they are not open and you don’t see a full parking lot it is because no one knows they are there. Oh, by the way they have a banquet room which would be great for your family get-togethers. I am planning my husband’s next birthday party there.
Sadie. Awesome food. very creative recipes. FRESH ingredients and super nice staff. A bit difficcult to get to if you have never been ther but worth the extra effort! Try it, you’ll LOVE it!
