Disappointed. Went to Sapore for New Years Eve and was disappointed in food and service. Everyone ordered off of the regular menu. I think the food was prepared early in the evening for those selections. The food was lukewarm and the veal, eggplant and ham all tasted like the sauce which was too sweet. Desert and appetizer were good. The waitress was disagreeable and not happy that she had to divide the check by couples.I did like the dcor and wish the food had been better. This was my first visit.
What Happened??. Sapore was my family’s favorite restaurant. The wait staff and Ann made the experience. The small details like the chalk board with the specials of the day are now replaced with menu inserts. The servers were trained well and did it right, like serving from the left and removing from the right. Now entrees are auctioned off at the table due to an untrained staff. Sapore had the buzz, it is now replaced with a cold atmosphere. Needless to say, the break up must have gone bad! What a shame. Ann, hopefully you read this and may it inspire you to start the next big thing.
Changed managers and waitstaff. We have dined there many times and recommended to several friends over the last year since they have opened . We dined there last night Oct .25 . We where there less then one month ago and Ann was there along with all the friendly knowledgeable waitstaff . The atmosphere has totally changed felt it the minute we entered . Even our fifteen yr .old granddaughter found it to be cold and unfriendly . We waited long to be served waitstaff inexperienced . Resturant was only half full . I think many customers feel the same way and will not return . Whoever made this change never heard the phrase if it isn’t broke don’t fix it . We certainly hope we will find Ann and staff in a new venture somewhere . You are all missed !!!!!!!
We went here last night on a date night and it was awesome!!! Staff was so friendly and knowledgeable and food was absolutely delicious!!! Can’t wait to go back.
EXCELLENT. I am french so it is difficult for me to explain in English but i try… This new restaurant is excellent, food delicious, service perfect, decoration very nice. I speak with the owner Anne, who arrive from France also, she explain that the dcoration is his work. Bravo Anne ! Five stars for this place i come back with friends in March.
A culinary delight!. They opened their doors 4 weeks ago, and we’ve been there at least once a week.We recently had the pleasure of trying The Frutti Di Mare Alla Sapore which was amazing, it was a perfect balance of richness & flavor. We also loved the Veal Osso Bucco, that was fall off the bone tender & equally amazing!Their chef has mastered the art of blending the ingredients of every dish perfectly!!The food and service are nothing short of fantastic, and the ambiance is just what we’ve been looking for! Finally…an upscale restaurant in Katy with an affordable menu & gorgeous atmosphere!With each visit we are blown away & it keeps us coming back for more!!
