Sadly this place gets a low rating because it took 30 min to get two donuts I ordered. Keep in mind no one was in the store waiting or ordering. The girl behind the counter said it would take 5 minutes…. I drive 40 min to get Rhys place. My suggestion would to order what you want ahead of time otherwise you will be waiting a while. 6 people came in after me and were still waiting when I left obviously. The owner stopped in to check on his employees I guess but didn’t greet any of tithe customers. Sad. One of the workers kept peeking through the door looking at the line of people. Put your soda down and get to work and stop staring at customers!
This is a small mom and pop donut shop that offers great products and great service. The Grove isn’t your average donut shop. They offer a creative menu with many different flavors. They offer everything from strawberry cheesecake to french toast. Some of the flavors can also be made as cronuts. If a croissant and a donut had a baby, it would be a cronut. The cronuts here are the best I’ve ever had. They are fresh, flaky, and absolutely delicious. They also serve sandwiches/wraps for lunch. The generic donut flavors like glazed donuts or iced donuts are available at the counter, but everything else is made to order. There aren’t many donut shops that are made to order, which makes the Grove unique and creative. I think they have the best cronuts, but I wouldn’t call their donuts the best. Their donuts are way too light and don’t fill you up easily. Another thing I dislike about this place is the greasy diner smell. They need to find a way to ventilate the air properly.Apart from the two negatives I mentioned above, this is by far the cutest and the most creative donut shop I’ve been to. Everything from the decor and the service is pretty great. Another great thing is that they offer a decent selection of coffee, which many donut shops lack in the area. This place is usually busy since it’s one of a kind. The weekends are very busy and it can take awhile to get your donuts.Keep in mind that the cronuts aren’t made until 9:30 am, and they close early if they sell out for the day. Make sure to call ahead to see if they’re open.
