Strange to not find this restaurant on Yelp. I came here last about a year ago and inadvertently wrote a review for a business with the same name in Richmond. Is this a franchise? A year ago I thought this place was OK.Today I think they do not have a chef. Ordered Happy Family and sesame chicken. Happy family sauce bland. Thin pieces of beef could not be chewed. Rubber. The ‘chef’ had obviously never heard of velveting.The sesame chicken had no flavor of sesame. The initial flavor was of sugar. It was so sugary that it took a good 20 seconds for chili flavoring to manage to fight its way to the front. The chicken pieces were obviously processed, ‘boil in the bag’ style food that companies such as fast food places buy, The brownish rice had a funky flavor I could not recognize. I hope this wasn’t because the rice was left over from previous days. I actually called to express my disgust and for a refund of at least half. My reasoning was that a comparable meal in quality from a fast food place would have cost as much.I think what is most perturbing is that this company has obviously not employed a chef. If this ‘chef’ had simply bought the ‘Americas Test Kitchen’ DVD set, he could have cooked so much better. This level of amateurism is so disrespectful to people spending their hard earned money,
Good Food, Rude, Rude, Rude. I have been going there, and ordering take-out since the store opened. I was very pleased with them, until it changed ownership about 2 years ago.The food is good. The service is HORRIBLE. First when you place your order, they can’t understand English and always mess it up. When I call, she tells me I’m a complainer.Second, the delivery people cannot speak English, and I have had one walk off with an 8 dollar tip, because he could not understand I wanted 4 dollars back.Today, they brought out another incorrect order, and refused to take it back, so I did. I will never go there again.The owner is so rude, she can not keep staff for more than a month or two according to one of her ex-employees.It’s a shame. The food is good, but many of my neighboors refuse to get food from them due to similar experiences.

Their staff is completely incompetent and the manager seems afraid of talking to people. ( I guess she hardly speaks english, then again neither does the staff… either that or theyre just all playin dumb. although, i dont think they’re playin) ANYWAY, they made a mistake on a charge to my card… but didnt know how to reimburse/credit it BACK to my account… so they tried to kinda get around it and tell me that if all fails if it still on my acct a couple days later, go ahead and call your bank and have them cancel it for you. WTH ridiculous. They weren’t even apologetic.. just confused and dumb-founded. Def not worth it, you’d probably lose brain cells just walking in there.
SOO MUCH. The delivery guy came and said he didnt have change so he took a $6 tip!!! and then he asks me for more money by saying that he was a poor man
I love this resturant! I have been picking up thier delicious food for the last couple of years and have NEVER been disappointed! Thier General Tsos Chicken is by far the best i have ever had. Everytime i came back from school in Texas A&M I always make a pick up of something delicious from their menu.
