WOW! Fabulous food and 1975 prices!. Two trips to eat there in one week. They scored a home run both times. Tonight it was a HUGE double pork chop with cherry glaze/sauce, homemade mashed potatoes, green beans ‘n bacon. One of the best meals I’ve eaten in Fredericksburg in 10 years of living here.If you haven’t eaten at 290 Grill get there for breakfast, for lunch, for dinner and enjoy some of the best made-from-scratch food ever. TINY place, not much to look at, great people putting out high quality food that is seasoned with skill and cooked to your order. Whether you live in the area or are visiting, DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE. Oh, and the price for the pork? $12.95 for a meal that would have run $22.50 on Main Street. And Main Street would not have cooked it this well. Enough food for 2: the pork chop was HUGE. Desserts are $2.50 for homemade flan, cheesecake, etc., etc. GO, EAT, ENJOY and support a local chef who’s got a lot to offer. (And the kitchen is spotless.)

Stopped in on a whim on the way out of town. Great food, made fresh to order. I had the Migas and my wife had a beef fajita taco plate. I will upload pictures later. Great food, bargain prices. We will come again when we’re back in Fredericksburg.
