Chocolate Lovers Dream. Love chocolate and this place has it all. You can get samples of anything they have on display but the one I liked the best was the Amaretto filled chocolates….amazing flavors. Chocolat outgrew its old location and now sits next to the Fredericksburg Winery on Main Street.

Wonderful!. I was so happy to visit Chocolat during our day trip to Fredericksburg! The woman who helped me was so kind to give my puppies water outside on a warm day which already put me in a great mood!The chocolates here are wonderful!!! I bought quite a variety and have enjoyed every single one so far. They are so creamy and delicious! I was also so excited to see wine-filled chocolates – I’d never tried them before and it was very interesting. If this shop were in Austin I’d probably visit too often… 🙂
Truly Quintessential! Amazing!. This is truly a delectable chocolate shop, they have a large variety of liquid center chocolates, colettes, truffles, nut clusters, and silk fudges. The chocolate used is a high quality American made chocolate, and are the only shop to use it in the state. When you walk in they greet you personally, ask if you have been in and give you an overview of what is in each case. For the liquid centers they offer a free sample to experience them, if you haven’t ever before. The liquid centers are made using the exact same 200 year old method that the Europeans have been using in Switzerland, and the owner has learned from a master of this process. The process mixes a syrup that contains sugar, water and the chosen flavor, the centers are NOT diluted with water, via the process the center is made that contains the alcohol of choice. The full process takes 3 to 5 days and is very labor intensive but the results are amazing and one of a kind. The owner has been doing this for 26 years and is one of the oldest manufactures in the country. A product like this is difficult to market in the US because of the federal and state regulations and laws. Each state has a specific law regulating the amount of alcohol in candy confections. There are some places that do not abide by these laws. The packaging of the product is specially designed to protect the product from damages. And the product itself is designed to prevent damages. If the product were to become damaged the owner has PERSONALLY stated that she will replaced the product free of charge.This is a wonderful part of Fredericksburg that you cant find in any other store in town. The shop is a beautiful, unique, and friendly places to visit that I would recommend to anyone passing through town.

Free Samples!!. This place makes tasty and homemade chocolates. When you arrive they offer you a free sample! They make both traditional chocolates or liquid filled chocolates.
