The restaurant has a fun/vintage brewery atmosphere. It was very busy when I went there for a Saturday lunch, but we were still able to get a table with no waiting time. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer. I thought they were cooked to perfection. I’ve had soggy fried pickles at some restaurants before, so this was nice to have them cooked right for a change. The coating on the pickles was quite spicy, so if you’re not a fan of spicy foods, you might want to forego ordering these. The sauce wasn’t Comeback sauce; it was a type of Ranch. I then ordered the Cheddar Ale soup, which was also excellent. It was very rich and yummy. It was served with a large brown dinner roll, which was also quite good. This soup would probably be more amazing in the winter time, but it was still delicious regardless. The people I was having lunch with ordered sandwiches and they both remarked that the bread on their sandwiches was a bit dry, but that was the only complaint I heard. Our waitress was very friendly. Would like to go back soon.

My last visit was my last visit to this place, ever. I will never go back. I took my wife for her birthday and was utterly disappointed. Hermeatloaf came out cold and my sandwich was soggy. Service was horrible. The place wasn’t busy at all, which should have been a clue, and service was lacking. For a brewery, the beer is sub-par.

Horrible!. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had in Fredericksburg. My family and I have been buying beer at this brewery since 2008. The GM working today, Jen, was the worst customer service representative I’ve ever had. She was absolutely horribly rude. Refused to serve us appetizers or beer in the downstairs brewery area. And after we sat down to have appetizers and beer in the restaurant during halftime of an NFL game, she threatened to throw us out of the restaurant just for complaining about not being able to order appetizers and beer In the back of the restaurant. I am very disappointed. I have brought out of town guests here for the last 7 years. I am absolutely appalled and will never come here again.

Good beer, bad food. I had an IPA and a hefeweizen. The hefe was my favorite hefe ever. Unfortunately the food was terrible even though the menu descriptions (and prices) suggested otherwise. Our group had the brew stew, cheddar stew, and reuben sandwich. Everything tasted fake, processed, and mostly like Cambell’s soup with beer in it – sadly like cheap ingredients with a high mark up.

If you’re handicapped, they’ll hate you!. So angry and disappointed. I’m handicapped, and astonished that you provide no handicapped accommodations, and your staff could not be bothered to help me. It was a painful 30-minute struggle just to get inside and seated, and I was unable to walk for two days afterward. You people need to read the ADA and comply. It is a federal law, not a suggestion. And teach your wait staff to freaking help people in need. I know you don’t need my business, but common decency would tell your staff not to treat people the way I was treated.Every time I have been there, your staff has become very annoyed with me when I tell them in am in pain. What on earth is wrong with you people?

Apps and some brews. We stopped here a few times during our recent trip and were impressed. We sampled their beers, had the Scotch Egg and sausage and cheese appetizer, and grabbed some beers to go. We didn’t have a full meal here. I have always wanted to try a Scotch Egg and this one didn’t let me down, I could have eaten five of them. The sausage, homemade mustard, and german potato salad were awesome. I wish they would sell their mustard. The beers were good, although I wish they had more on the lighter/Hefeweizen side but the husband liked the Bock. Will stop again next time!
