We had a group of eleven at Navajo Grill last week. The girls in our family traveled from California and Hawaii to celebrate Mom’s 80th birthday there (she was born and raised in TX). What a great place for a celebration! The food was outstanding, and we were seated in the covered patio area with the waterfall on one side, with patio warmers to keep mom warm as the evening progressed. We were attended to with great care and kindness. An absolutely wonderful evening
Will never go back, and you should stay far away from the Navajo Grill. Table of 6, not one good plate of food. Crab cakes were the best and they were below average at best. The chicken flat bread should not be served to animals. The mixed grilled was a disaster, with the plate coved with this sweet tomato based goo. Can’t remember how they described the goo on the menu but if it would have been advertised accurately, I would not have ordered it. The only decent thing Navajo Grill did tonight is comp the surf and turf. However even taking it off the bill was grossly unsatisfying. For the price the portions are unethically small, charging $7.00 to split a plate is criminal. American Indians are upset about the NFL Redskins using their likeness, citing it as offensive. The Navajo Nation have a far more legitimate claim.
